Since my first Supporting role in "Crossroads" in 1985,I have been in 7 episodes and my my final visit to the Birmingham Studios had been on 24th September1987 my 46th Birthday. This original series ran from 1964 to 1988.
In 2001 Carlton TV brought back the series and re-set it in Nottingham in March 2001. Some members of the original cast were kept on including Kathy Staff, Tony Adams and Jill Harvey. Incoming cast included Emma Noble and Sherrie Hewson. This 2nd series only ran from 2001 to 2003 and filmed from the V=Carlton studio in Lenton Lane Nottingham. I met Paul Henry(who played Benny Hawkins) at a Golf Club in Whitchurch. He was the owner of that Golf Complex when I was the Toastmaster at a Wedding Reception at that venue on 26th July 2003.
